Ten (10) copies of the subject Supplement are enclosed.
General Electric has requested approval for expansion of its Morris Operation spent fuel storage' facilities (reference letter). The subject Supplement augments, and in some matters supercedes the Physical Security Plan for Morris Operation (NEDS-14507-B, as amended) for the duration of construction activities.
Approval of the subject Supplement is requested, subject to USNRC approval of the proposed expansion of Morris Operation facilities.
The physical security provisions of the Supplement will require license condition exceptions to requirements of 10CFR73.2(k) regarding construction activities within the isolation zone, and 10CFR73.50(b) concerning physical barriers.
Regarding the latter, note the special provisions for the short wall segment at the south-east corner of the basin enclosure; see Supplement Section 3.2.2(c) and related illustrations.
