One of the attorneys who had been heavily involved in the Staff's briefing effort for this case recently accepted a teinporary reassign-ment outside of the Office of the Executive Legal Director.N It is now apparent to the Staff that. a two-week extension of the presently established briefing schedule 2/ will be necessary in order to avoid significant adverse i;npact on our ability to fully brief the issues on appeal.
Accordingly, tha Staff respectfully requests that the current briefing schedule be adjusted so that appellees' briefs would be due on April 16, 1979 and reply briefs on May 7, 1979.
