Enclosed are copies of the program which is intended to be Chapter 4 of the Fundamental Nuclear Material Control Manual.

It should be noted with regard to the measurement of impurities in conjunc-f tion with the gravimetric uranium procedure, the NBL impurity standard has not yet been received by our laboratory.
Extensive programs of testing and evaluatinn of the reference standard and our internal working standard must be conducted.
Impurity analyses will be included in the reporting of uranium analysis for SNM accounting purposes. However, at this time, it is not po.s-ible to explain in detail the procedures or standards information concerning
---impurity-andys h. This-information should -be available by May 1,1979 and such procedures and/or clarifying statements will be forwarded to you at that time for inclusion in the Measurement Control Program description.
