Dear Ms. Stanton:

This is in response to your letter dated February 5,1979 ir, which you requested, pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, an annotated listing specifying the main areas of concern of intervenors in certain licensing and rulemaking proceedings.

Your letter was received by the Office of Administration on February 8,1979.

The NRC has not compiled a list such as the one you have requested, and is not required to create a list in response to a request made pursuant to the Freedom of Infonnation Act (F0IA) since the IDIA applies only to records in possession of the agency when a request is received.

However, NRC does place each petition to intervene in the NRC Public Document Room,1717 H Street, N.W., Washington, D.C. where they are available for public inspection and copying.

Petitions to intervene are included in the POR Docket file pertaining to the individual licensing proceeding to which interventinn is sought.

If the NRC may be of any further assistance in this matter, please contact Ms. Ellen Whitlow at (301) 492-8133.
