The enclosure contains new and revised FSAR pages with new and updated informa-tion marked as Revision 18. To avoid possible confusion between this advance copy and the FSAR amendment, this advance copy is printed on green paper with an overprint " ADVANCE COPY - DO NOT INSERT IN FSAR".

Identical information contained in the enclosure vill be submitted as Revision 18 to the Midland Plant Units 1 and 2 FSAR as an amendment to the Company's application for construction permits and operating licenses on February 28, 1979 W"
