MONTill.Y NARRATIVE REPORT Id OF OPERATING AND MAJOR MAINTENANCE EXPERIENCE This report describes the operating and major maintenance experience for the month of.lanuary, 1979.
This report was prepared by the Plant Staff and is submitted in accordance with Section IX.I.1.c. of the Technical Specifications.
During the report period the reactor remained in the cold shutdown mode of operation. There were no significant events associated with the operation of the Unit.
The only item of significant maintenance concerns investigation of a low air flow and high differential pressure problem with the gas treatment system scrubber column and D.C.
fan reported to the Commission as Licensee Event Report LER-78-004/03L-0.
The scrubber column, packing and fan have been disassembled and inspected and the for the problem has been identified.
instrumentation calibrated but no cause New packing is on order and further tests will be conducted after it is installed.
