The purpose of this letter is to notify the Nuclear Regulatory Commission of a modification to our design analysis on this subject to include an extreme environmental live load for snow of 50 psf. The following load combinations, therefore, are considered in addition to those delineated in the SNPP PSAR, Sections 3.8.6.2.2 and 3.8.6.3.2.a., respectively.

For concrete structures:

U=D+L+To+Rg+ SL For steel structures:

1.5S = D + L + T +R + SL o o where SL = 50 psf, an extreme environmenta.1 line load for snowfall It is noted for your information that the structural live load, as defined in PSAR Seteion 3.8.6.1.1 as a normal load, remains unchanged and includes snow and ice loads as presented in PSAR Section 2.4.2.3. Although t is not present-ly contemplated that the PSAR will be amended to include this information, the Final Safety Analysis Report will reflect the se modifications eo the design analysis as defined above.
