In accordance with the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Act, this letter supplements our previous letters dated November 20, 1978 and December 20, 1978 in which we informed you of the status of your applications XCOM0007 and XCDMJ008 for the export of components to the Federal Republic of Ger:rany and the Netherlands respectively.

Although the Department of State has been attempting to expedite the receipt of the required assurances concerning retransfers from the importing countries, these assurances still have not been received. We have indications, however, that the assurances may be forthcoming in the near future which will enable the NRC to act promptly on your applications.

Please be assured that the NRC is acutely aware of the problems caused as a result of your failure to receive export approval for these two applications and for your other pending component applications.
