Dear Mr. Denton:
The completion of construction and checkout of the hardware modifications committed to in the Duane Arnold Energy Center (DAEC)
Modified Amended Security Plan (MASP) will not be completed on February 23, 1979.
Enclosed herewith are our proposed compensatory measures fcr those hardware elements that will not be completed. As an individual hardware element is completed and made operational, the commitments in the MASP will supersede the cor responding enclosed compensatory measure.
This letter and attachment hereto amends our MASP as specified above. The compensatory measures proposed meet the requirements of 10 CFR 73.55.
The enclosed amendment is to be withheld from public dis-closure in accordance with 10 CFR 2.790.
