APPENDIX A
, NOTICE OF VIOLATION Boston Edison Company Docket No. 50-293 Based on the results of an NRC inspection conducted at the Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station, Unit 1 on October 30-November 3,1978, it appears that one of your activities was not conducted.in full compliance with the conditions of your NRC Facility License No. DPR-35. This item is a Deficiency.
Technical Specifications Paragraph 6.5.B.8 states in part, " Audits of facility activities shall be performed under the cognizance of the NSRAC." Paragraph 6.5.B.10.c further states " Audit reports encompassed by Section 6.5.B.8 above shall be forwarded to the Vice President-Nuclear and to the management positions responsible for the areas audited within 30 days after completion of the audit."
Contrary to the above, the following audits conducted by the Quality Assurance Department, under the cognizance of NSRAC (the offsite review group), were not forwarded to tha Vice President-Nuclear or appropriate management as indicated below.
