Thcnk you for your letrer dated December 15, 1978, informing us of the steps you have taken to correct the noncompliance identified in our letter dated November 29, 1978. With respect to items 1, 2, 3 and 5, ve have no further questions.
With respect to item 4, your reply indicates that you misunderstood the requirement. As discussed in a telephone conversation between you and Dr. C. J. Paperiello of cur staff on December 26, 1978, you are required to post 10 CFR Parts 19 and 20, the license and other supporting material or a notice where that can be found and read not so they are available for the inspector but for the benefit of the students or anyone else that works with the neutron source.
These documents relate to health and safety procedures and regula-tions and must be available for the above individuals to read if they wish. It is our understanding from the above telephene conversation that this will be done. We will examine your corrective actions during a future inspection.
No reply to this letter is necessary. If our understanding of the above is not correct, please inform this office in writing within 10 days.
