We are in receipt of a letter from Nicholas D. Lewis, Chairman, Energy Facility Site Evaluation Council, State of Washington, to you dated December 12, 1978.

Chairman Lewis requested that the Energy Facility Site Evaluation Council (formerly the Thermal Power Plant Site Evalu-ation Council) be accorded interested state status under the provisions of 10 CFR 9 2.715(c). The NRC Staff would note for your information that the Council, by letter dated January 8, 1975, has previously requested interested state status and the Licensing Board has granted this request (See Tr.6, April 15, 1975). Also, pursuant to Chairman Lewis's request, the Staff has added Thomas F. Carr, Esq. to the service list.
