F M' ' '.FS Authority of the State of New York's proposed Greene County nuclear plant.
As you may recall, Article VIII of the New Ycrk Fublic Service Law, which governs our plant
. siting proceedings, was recently amended to require a State determination in this case by February 4, 1980.
It is, therefore, necessary that the hearings proceed with dispatch; but staff tes timony cannot be submitted until the NRC's Final Environmental Statement is issued.
The FES was to have been ready by December 15, and I wrote to you in September urging you to assure that this goal was,
