Description of Event

On January 14, 1980 with the unit in hot standby, steam driven auxiliary feedwater' pump 1-FW-P-2 was secured and removed from service When water was observed Icaking from the oil cooler during pump operation.

At the time, 1-FN-P-2 was being used to add feedwater to "A" steam generator.

Probable Ccnsequences of Occurrence The consequences of this event were limited because both motor driven auxiliary feedwater pumps (1-FW-P-3A and 3B) remained available for operation if required.

The ef fects were also minimized by the fact that the operable auxilt,ry feedwater pump was restored to operable status within the 72 hour8.333333e-4 days
0.02 hours
1.190476e-4 weeks
2.7396e-5 months
time
