This refers to your application dated January 16, 1980 requesting approval of your quality assurance (QA) program as meeting the QA program require-ments of 10 CFR 571.51. The application is responsive to our December 17,.
1979 letter. Unfortunately, the enclosure to our letter was not the one specifically prepared for your company. This has resulted in items where clarification is required. Please revise your QA program description to address the enclosed items a,nd submit seven copies of the revision.
We apologize for not sending the proper request for additional information in our December 17, 1979 letter and hope that this second round of revision does not create a hardship.

Reauest for Additional Information 1.
Revise part 2d (page 6) to describe the hardware controlled by the QA program.
If this includes all the hardware supplied by Pick Instrument Products Co., Inc. that is used in packages for transporting radioactive material, so state.
2.
Section 4, " Procurement Document Control" refers to procurements cf raw aaterials and other items by Pick Instrument Products Co., Inc.
This is not clear in parts 4.2, 4.3, and 4.4.
Please revise these parts of the QA program description as noted below.
a.
Provide a statement that procurement documents identify those records to be retained, controlled, and maintained by the supplier, and those delivered to Pick Instrument Products Co., Inc. prior to use or in-stallation of the hardware.
b.
Provide a statement that procurement documents contain Pick Instrument Products Co., Inc.'s right of access to supplier's facilities and records
.for source inspection and audit.
c.
Provide a statement that changes and revisions to procurement documents are subject to at least the same review and approval as the original document.
3.
In section 15 provide a statement that repair procedures, use-as-is dis-positions, and repair dispositions are provided to the customer (designer) for acceptance.
