SUMMARY
OF MEETINGS HELD ON JANUARY 15,16 and l'i,1980 A series of meetings were held at the Shoreham site with representatives of LILCO. The purpose of the meetings was to evaluate:
(1) Preservice Inspection Program for the Shoreham Station; (2)
Fracture Toughness of Shoreham's Containment Pressure Boundary Materials; and, (3) Shoreham Security Plan.
The review of LILCO's preservice inspection program began on January 16 with a tour of the plant and a review of Shoreham drawings and records.
A meeting was held with the applicant on January 17 to discuss the preservice inspection program. A list of attendees is provided in.
As a result of this meeting, questions and positions on Shoreham's preservice inspection program will be prepared and issued to LILC0.
Mr. J. Halapatz (NRC staff) spent January 15-17 reviewing drawings and materials test records for the Shoreham containment pressure boundary.
Mr. Halapatz was provided with a copy of selected drawings and was given a tour of the Shoreham Reactor Building. We will use the informati >n gathered by Mr. Halapatz to develop our position on fracture toughness of the containment pressure boundary.
On January 15 and 16 we conducted a formal site visit as part of our review of the Shoreham Security Plan. A list of attendees for the meetings on security is shown in Enclosure 2.
Based on this review we will develop our positions on the Shoreham Security Plan.
In addition to these meetings, members of the NRC staff met with local public officials at the Brookhaven Town Hall on January 17, 1980.
A list of attendees at this meeting is provided in Enclosure 3.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the NRC's Resident Inspector Program and the status of construction and licensing at the Shoreham
