NRC STAFF RESPONSE TO CEC MOTION TO TERMINATE ACTION ON REFERRAL The California Energy Commission (CEC) has moved the Appeal Board to terminate its consideration of the emergency planning matter referred to it by the Licensing Board and accepted by the Appeal Board. CEC was the moving party before the Licensing Boaro on this issue. Under these circumstances, the NRC Staff has no objection to the granting of CEC's Motion.
