SUMMARY
OF NRC/CEO) MEETING ON CONFIRMATORY PIPING ANALYSIS FOR LASALLE On December 19, 1979, a meeting was held at the LaSalle site to discuss the independent confirmatory ASME Code stress analysis to be performed by NRC on the LaSalle IRH40 BA-12 RHR piping system. The analysis will be performed by Oak Ridge National Labs, using the NRC piping code EPIPE, developed by Brookhaven. Representatives of CECO, NRC, ORNL, and Sargeant
& Lundy toured LaSalle Unit 1 to view varioas piping systems and to perform a walkdown of the 1RH40 BA-12 line. NRC emphasized that the purpose of this analysis was not to attempt to duplicate Sargeant &
Lundy's calculations, but to independently verify that the sample piping system meets the appropriate ASME Code stress allowables. ORNL and S&L discussed the package of piping design information which ORNL had recently received from Ceco. S&L discussed the methodology used in its analysis. ORNL was given some time-history load data for the subject line and the meeting was adjourned.
