Gentlemen:
Millstone Nuclear Power Station, Unit No. 2 Automatic Initiation of Auxiliarv Feedwater In Reference (1), Northeast Nuclear Energy Company (NNECO) provided its position with respect to the NRC requirement to automatically initiate the auxiliary feedwater systen at Millstone Unit No. 2.
In Reference (2), a description of the design, including a point-by-point discussion of compliance with each of the clarification items of Reference (3), was provided to facilitate Staff review.
During subsequent discussions, the Staff requested still further details regarding the design. Accordingly, enclosed are copies of drawings which are intended to illustrate how compliance with the clarification items of Reference (3) was achieved. A listing of the affected drawings is attached.
We trust the attached information is sufficient to resolve your remaining questions.
