99900502/79-03 NOTICE OF DEVIATION Based on the results of an NRC inspection conducted August 27-31, 1979, it appears that certain of your activities were not conducted in accordance with FRC requirements.
Criterion V of Appendix B to 10 CFR 50 states:
" Activities affecting quality shall be prescribed by documented instructions, procedures, or drawings, of a type appropriate to the circumstances and shall be a complished in accordance with these instructions, procedures, or drawings.
Instructions, procedures, or drawings shall include appropriate quantitative or qualitative acceptance criteria for determining that important activities have been satisfactorily accomplished." Deviations from these requirements are as follows:
Engineering Procedure STP-DC-007-G, Preparation and Control of System Design Descriptions (SDD), Section 2.7, Design Data Sources, requires that " Sources used as design input to an SDD must be identified in the text with a superscript numeral indicating a footnote.
Contrary to this requirement, a1 SDD, entitled, Reactor Containment Building HVAC System (5V140VD006-C) contained design input, Table 2.1, (Reactor Con-tainment Environmental Design Parameters), which was not identified in the text with a superscript numeral.
