Docket :To. 50-289 Operating License DPR-50 As discussed by telephone, this information is being transmitted by telecopy on December 29, 1976, rather than being transmitted by mail cn December 27, 1976.
Met-Ed anticipates participating in the Babcock and Wilcox (3 L W) Integrated Reactor Vessel Surveillance Program which nakes use of Davis Eesse Unit 1, Crystal River Unit 3, Three Mile Island Unit 2 and the HSST test reactor for specimen irradiation. Met-Ed has not had time to complete appropriate ecn-tractual agreements with B i W and for obvicus reasons, our c--~4 +-ant to participate is contingent on the successful negotiation of such a contract.
In the unlikely event that Met-Ed and B L W are unable to reach agreement, we would proceed with a TMI Site Integrated Fregram. Also, should this contin-gency develop, Met-Ed anticipates that any data developed which we perceive to be of value to other 3 & W users could be made available tc them thrcugh appropriate agreements.
It vill not be possible to supply ansvers to the questions enclosed with your letter of December 17, 1976 by the date requested, due to the short time provided. These vill be forwarded by January 13, 1977.
