Dear Sir:
Cperating License DPR-50 Decket #50-289 In accordance with Technical Specification 6.7.3.c. for the Three Mile Island Nuclear Station Unit 1, Metropolitan Edison is submitt-ing under separate cover forty copies each of the Reacter Centai=ent Building Preoperational Integrated Leak Rate Test and the Reacter Centai=ent Building Structural Integrity Test.
In performance of the Unit 1 Reacter Building Precperaticnal Integrated Leak Rate Test, the portien of the Industrial Cooler System inside contai=ent was not drained and vented to the contai=ent attesphere as this system is required to be operational for te=perature control during testing. Local Type C tests were perfer:ed en the containment isolation valves in this system (R3-V2*and R3-VT).
Leakage frc= these valves was measured to be 0 and 150 cc/ min at atmospheric pressure, respectively, which results in a total leakage of abcut 0.00C08 percent per day at 50.6 psig frc= these valves. Since the leakage frce R3-V2*
and R3-V7 is negligible ec= pared to the measured centainment leak rate of 0.Ch3 percent per day, the Reacter Centainment Building Integrated Leak Rate Test Report has not been mcdified to include the above discus-sien. It is included here to fulfill the reperting regirement of 1CCFR50 Appendix J, Paragraph III.A.d.
