ACCEPTANCE OF REVISI0tl 2 0F AUC-75-A We have reviewed the changes to AWC-75-A proposed in your letter of September 21, 1979. Our review of your proposed changes would nomally be conducted using the acceptance criteria in Revision 1 of our Standard Review' Plan (NUREG-75/087, Section17.1). However, noting your comitment to provide us a rewrite which addresses Revision 1 before 1981, we have simply verified for the present that the proposed chaiges do not degrade the program that was previously approved.

In this regard, you should note that, for new applications for construction permits and operar.ing licenses and those currently under review, we will detemine the acceptability of quality assurance programs for utility applicants and their contractors using Revision 1 of the Standard Review Plan.

Our review indicates that the proposed changes are acceptable. We find that the revised topical report describes an acceptable quality assurance program for the design, procurement, and fabrication activities that are within Anaconda's scope of work for nuclear power plants.

Please indicate the changes by a bar in the margin, identify the report as Revision 2 of AUC-75-A, date the revised report October 1979, include a cocy of this accept-ance letter and the Revision 1 acceptance letter of September 20, 1976 in each report, and transmit 44 copies to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
