Operating License No. DFF-50 Occket No. 50-289 Nonreutine 30-Day Report 75-03 In car letter GQL 1021 of May 2, 1975, we ec==itted to a program of weekly inspections to verify that the gaps in the heated post uupports for the rain steam safety valve discharge piping did not exceed specified values.

All gap measurementa since that time have been within acceptable values, with enly one exception on Dece=ter k, 1975 Review of reasuremente taken since then reveal that this gap has not exec-ied the acceptable 0.01561 inches since Dece=ter 26, 1975 It has alv been noted that the greatest =easured gaps occur near the time of plant startup cr shutdevn.

In view of this evidence, Met-Ed intends to take these uasurements after each reacter start-up once full power ecuilibrium steam p' essure and temperature have teen attained, and =cnthly thereafter.

Sincerely, R. C. .rncld Vice ?"esident RCA:JJ'!: eg 1481 a68 2
