This telegram is to confirm the telecen between i.ee Spessard (Region 1-NRC) and J.J.Colitz (TMI Unit I Superintendent) at 1730 hours0.02 days <br />0.481 hours <br />0.00286 weeks <br />6.58265e-4 months <br /> la April 1975.

Violation of the Environmental Technical Specificatica 2.2.'I.c (Page 8) in that the total residual chlorine at the plant river discharge exceeded .01 ppm for greater than two hours an 17 April 1975.

Ca'lculations Jnade following the inadvertent leakage of hypochlorite (used in water treatment) to the industrial waste treatment builcing sump indicate that the chlorine rencentration at the plant discharge was .C4 ppm for a;: proximately three hours.

Analysis results obtained during normal chlorination of the ccoling water sys*m indicate that the cMorice concentration at the plant discharge exceeded .01 ppm for one hour and forty minutes. Esticates were based on worst possible conditions.

Upon identificatica of the leakage, the sutrp pinnps were secured and the sig contents were treated to remove the chlorine.
