Roy, Chief Radiological & Environmental Protection Branch F0 ACTION #345 - THREE MILE ISLNiD (TMI) E!WIRONVENTAL MONITORING PROGRAM Your request in F0 Control #345 referenced a memo and attachments from J. P. Stohr to F. Dreher. You requested us to review and evaluate the TMI sunnary and analysis of radiological environmental monitoring and recommended items to be included in the TMI tech specs.
The memo and attachments from Region I were sent to the Licensing Environmental Projects Manager (EPM) for his consideration in coordinating preparation of the environmental tech specs for TMI.
The Regional inspector also discussed the problems with the Licensing EPM.
The TMI tech specs were issued April 19, 1974.
Most of the Regions comments were included.
The memo from the Region also pointed out that the data accumulated from the THI preop monitoring program, in some cases, may not be valid.
Your office comunicated this information to Licensing with the comment that Licensing must resolve the problem in their issuance of the license.
The license was issued April 19, 1974.
This memo completes the action requested in your Control f345.
