ATOMIC ENERGY COMMISSION DOCKET No. 50-289 METROPOLITAN EDISON COMPANY Order Extending Provisional Construction Permit Completion Date By application dated Octcber 26, 1971 and supplemental letters dated November 22, 1971 and January 13, 1972; Metropol'itan Edison Company requested an extension of the latest completion date specified in Provisional Construction Permit No. CPPR-40.
The permit authorizes the cons,truction of a pressurized water nuclear reactor des 19nated as the Three Mile Island Nuclear Station Unit No. 1 at the applicant's site on Three Mile Island in the Susquehanna River in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.
Good cause having been shown for this extension pursuant to Section 185 of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended, and Sectica 50.55(b) of 10 CFR Part 50 of the Commission's regulations, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED THAT the latest com;1etion date specified in Provisional Construction Per- # No. CPPR-40 is e.< tended f rom Decerber 1,19 71, to Sep tember 30, 1973.
