PWR-4 Rdg RP Rdc APR 1 9 $3 HJFaulkner ASchwencer Docket No. 50-289 W. Mcdonald, Assistant for Plans and Programs, Directorate of Licensing The following information is supplied with respect to Mr. Huntzing's note cor.cerning the Three Mile Island-1 requat for schedule change.
The two month slippage in fuel loading date was inadvertently omitted from the milestone number and description block of the change request. However, it was included as the last item on page two of the change request.
Enclosed is a copy of the letter from the applic. ant informing the AEC of the change in fuel load date to February 1,1974. Via telephone the applicant stated that the slippage occured for the following reasons:
a.
evaluation and repair of thin valled valves, b.
late delivery of small bore valves, delays in installation in small bore piping, c.
d.
in late 1972, total site craft man-power was adsinistratively reduced to afford better control over quality assurance and productivity.
The applicant has stated that they are reasonably sure of meeting the February 1, 1974 date for fuel loading. Regulatory Operations concurs with this estimate.
