Faulkner Technical Review Branch Involved: L:0SB Requested Completion Date: 4/18/73 Description of Review: Input to SER Review Status: Complete Presented below is a replacement paragraph for scetion 13.2 Emergency Planning, which completes OSB's input to the Safety Evaluation Report for Three Mile Island Unit 1.
"13.2 Emercency Planning The applicant has established a fomal organization for coping with emergencies that includes liaison and com-munication with appropriate local, State, and Federal agencies that have responsibilities for coping with emergencies. Written agreements are presently being negotiated wich these agencies. The applicant has defined a spectrum of accidents including criteria for detemining when protective measures should be considered.
Fomal arrangements have been made by the applicant to provide for medical support in the event of a radiological or other emergency. Provisions for periodic training, and drills have been included in the emergency plan.
Recovery and reentry criteria have been addressed.
We have reviewed the details of the emergency plan and conclude that it is in substantial confomance with 10 CFR 50 Appendix E, Emergency Planning Requirerents."
