- he enc ased report of an inspection of the Babcock & Wilcox Company
(_El) La 3arberton, Chio, on April 27-29, 1970, is forwarded for informa:-an. The inspection was performed to examine the steam generators for the Three Mile Island 1 facility and to review records covering some of the early work performed at Barberton on the reactor pressure vessel.
Inspections of the reactor vessel at the Mt. Vernon plant are covered by reports 3&U o9/3 and 30U 70/1.
One item was identified which did not =cet the requirements of the ASMZ,Section III, Code. This related to the lack of certain records specified in paragraph N-511. We are communicating with the licensee, the Metropolitan 2dison Company, on this matter.
Two other items were identified which ue ccasider co be marginal; how-ever, we ar-not propcsing fornal action cince the items are not clear Oode violations.
