The enclosed report of an inspection of the Grinnell Company, Warren, Ohio on November 17-18, 1970, is forwarded for infor-nation. The purpose of the inspection was to examine piping assemblies for the Metropolitan Edison Company's Three Mile Island, Unit 1, reactor. The assemblies and work inspected were found to be satisfactory.
We continue to be concerned about this major piping fabricator not having code stamp authorization under the ASA B31.7 Ccde.
However, for the specific piping examined during this inspec-tion, no code stamp was required; thus, ve are unable to take enforcement action at this ti=e.
We vill continue our sur-veillance of this fabricator during 1971.
