Thank you for your letter of April 18, in which you express concerns about the safety of nuclear power and particularly about the Susquehanna Steam Electric Station.
I also want to thank you for the paid public announcement taken from the Berwick Enterorise dated Tuesday, April 17, 1979.
We know that your concerns about nuclear power are shared by many others and we realize how important it is that a great deal of ccre and attention be focused on the use of nuclear energy.
That is why we are trying very hard to assure that nuclear reactors and other facilities using nuclear material are operated so as to not cause a threat to public health and safety.
I am sending an information senry dealing with the selection of ci.as for nuclear power plants.
I hope that you find it interesting.
