NRC I & E BULLET!NS 78-12,78-12A and 78-12B ATYPICAL REACTOR VCSSEL WELDS
Dear Mr. Grier:
The Fi tzPatrick Plant will be unable to respor.d to the subject bulletins by 29 May 1979 as required by Bulletin 78-12B.
The reactor vendor's quotation to supply the information required by these bulletins was received by the FitzPatrick Plant on May 15, 1979 On May 16, 1979, the FitzPatrick Plant initiated an immediate purchase order to the vendor to supply the necessary data within two weeks of taeir receipt of the purchase order.
From the above, it is evident that the d*ta will not be available for fonvarding to your of fice by May 29, 1979 The FitzPatrick Plant staf f therefore, will complete its response to the subject bulletins within two (2) weeks of the receipt of the information from its reactor vendor.
Pending further correspondence from you concerning our plans for the late submittal of the requested information, we wili assume this is acceptable.
