Sauer, Jr. of ?ebruary 13, 1973, which requested that we provide our proposed feedvater nozzle inspection program for the 1979 refueling outage for Peach Botton Unit 3 ninety days prior to the start of the outa3e.

Feedwater Mozzle Program All feedwater nozzle safe ends, bores, and inside blend radii will be ultrasonically tested.

If any indication is found to be unacceptabla, the associated sparger will 5e recoved, a dye-penettsnt test will be performed and any u n a c c e p t a 'c l e dye-penetrant Indications will

'o e removed.

In adiition, a visual inspection of all feedwater spargers vill be performed.

The support for this conservative course of action is contained in

" Peach lotton Unit 3 Coc-3 Feedwater : o z e. l e Inspectic n Reconaendations", a copy of which is attached.
