Dear Mr. Keppler:
This letter is in response to Mr. A. B. Davis' letter of March 28, 1979, which we received April 2,1979, transmitting to us IE Report No. 5_0-315/79-03 and No. 50-316/79-03.
Contrary to a plant procedure which is required to be implemented under Technical Specification 6.8.1.e, an exclusion area evacuation drill was not conducted during 1978.
The corrective action taken was to perform such a drill on April 18, 1979, and the achieved result was the successful completion of the drill.
The corrective action taken to avoid the future re-occurrence of this infraction was to develop a completion schedule for emergency plan drills.
The Donald C. Cook Nuclear Plant is now in full compliance with its procedure and Technical Specifications.
