Dear Mr. Reid:
Your letter of November 15, 1973, requested that our Technical Speci-fications be revised to include the requirements of NCREG-0472.
The recent occurrence at Three Mile Island has taken priority over all our activitles. The NRC Shutdown Order of May 7, 1979, has and is continuing to require the immediate attention of our Staff personnel.
The effort to revise our Technical Specifications is continuing and we have at this time the final draft in review.
I would like the Radiological Effluent Section of our Technical Specifications to receive proper and thorough internal review. The specifications will be reviewed by our operating personnel who will have direct responsibility for implementing the requirements, as soon as the NRC Shutdown Order items are satisfactorily completed.
When the review is completed and the conments incorporated, the document will ne reviewed by the Plant Review Conmittee and Management Safety Review Committee.
The reviews tiill be completed and the Radiological Effluent Technical Speci-fications, including the Of fsite Dose Calculation Manual and Process Control Program will be sent to you for review prior to July 15, 1979.
We hope this submittal delay in order to provide the Commission with a satisfactory document will be acceptable to you.
