Dear Mr. Keppler:
In response to your letter (Reference 1) which forwarded a notice of a deficiency as a result of the subject inspection, we are sub-mitting the following information for your consideration.
ENFORCEMENT ITEM Deficiency
" Contrary to 10 CFR Part 21.31, procurement documents for the fabrication of the replacement peripheral shroud did not specify that the provisions of 10 CFR Part 21 applied."
DPC Response:
Due to an administrative oversight, the procurement document for the peripheral shroud was processed without specifying the appli-cation of the provisions of 10 CFR 21.
Cognizant personnel have been advised to review procedural requirements for similar pro-curement actions in the future.
Authorization for this response to be submitted beyond the twenty-day reporting period was granted to Mr. John Parkyn by Mr. Ridgway on Thursday, April 5, 1979.
