Gentlemen:

Your letter of Biarch 5,1979, requested us to forward an additional

$8300 to you. This request was based on your determination that our July 19, 1979 application requires a Class IV amendment fee of $12,300 rather than the Class III amendment fee of $4000 remitted in our August 17, 1978 letter.

Although we are not in agreement with you that a review of all equipment and electrical circuitry beneath the areas of the cask travel path and the consequences of damage to such equipment will involve more than one safety issue and is considered complex, we request your continued review of our unlimited use application.

We will remit a check in the amount of $8300 to you concurrent with our plans and schedules for future handling of the NAC-1 cask.

We expect to make this submittal in early Flay, 1979. Along with our plans and schedules for future use of the NAC-1 cask, to support your continued review, we will provide detailed information on the equipment and electrical circuitry in the areas beneath the cask travel path.

Very truly yours,

[ (,
