LICENSE AMENDMENT APPLICATION DATED JANUARY 15, 1979
Background
CEC was issued NRC Materials License No. SNM-1802 for the storage of fuel and accessories for eventual use in the subject facility.
The license limited the U-235 content of fuel to 3.0 percent U-235.
Discussion The subject application states that the 3.0 percent enrichment represented a nominal rather than a maximum enrichment and requests that the license be amended to increase the maximum allowable enrich-ment to 3.1 percent. The change in enrichment from 3.0 to 3.1 percent does not affect the radiological safety, nuclear safety, or other parameters on which was based the issuance of the license.
Reconinendation I recommend that the license amendment requested by CEC be issued.
