Purpose:

To inform the Comission of the receipt of a license application amendment.

Discussion:

Enclosed for the inform & tion of the Comission are copies of an amendment to application for an export license. Copies of the amendment have been placed in the Public Document Room.

Comissioners are requested to advise the staff of any particular issues or information which they can identify at this stage and which they wish included in the staff's analysis.

~-=1 End-Use-S tatement The undersigned certify that the quantity of 14.000 kgs of uranium (93.3 % U-235 enriched) in form of UF6 and containing 13.062 kgs of U-235 which will be furnished to us under a short-term fixed com::titment contract with US-DOE will be used for the manu-facture of fuel elements for the reactor FRM at Garching near Munich, Federal Republic of Germany..

NUKEM GmbH, D-6450 Hanau, Federal Republic of Germany shall perform the conversion work for us. Manufacturing of the fuel element,s shall also be performed by. NUKEM GmbH.

We authorize Transnuclear Inc., Falls Gipr;ch, Virginia / USA to apply for the export license.
