This is in response to your letter of February 21, 1979, denying our request for an extensien of time for full implementation of the requirements of 10 CFR 73.55.
In accordance with your letter and after contacting Mr. Eugene W. McPeek of your staff, we are supplementing the Plant Hatch Security Plan by providing the enclosed.
The enclosed Security Plan supplement describes compensatory measures that are presently being provided to implement 73.55 until full implementation can be achieved. We presently anticipate that those security systems not presently available will be in service by April 24, 1979.
Through discussions with Mr. McPeek and representatives of Georgia Power Con.nany, we understand that the enclosed security measures are acceptable for the interim.
If you desire further discussion in this matter, please contact Mr. Len Gucwa or Mr. John Estes, Georgia Power Company Security Committee members.
