Dear Mr. Hoyle:

Enclosed please find an application from United States Radium Corpo-ration (USR) for a license to export 2'h000 curies of tritium in any chemical or physical form to Condition two countries. As you will note, USR presently has an export license (XB-37-7;'1) which expires on March 1, 1979 for this amount of material. We are enclosing a copy of USR's original application for your information.

Before taking action on.this license application, ve would appreciate your views, in accordance with established procedur, and from the overall perspective of the Executive Branch, as to whether the issuance of the requested license would be inimical to the interests of the United States, including the common defense and security.
