>j MONTH January 1979 On January 5th, No. 1 seal leakoff on No, 11 RCP dropped sharply and the stand-pipe began overflowing, indicating increased flow through No. 2 seal.

down was planned and the load reduction for it initiated.
During the load drop 5
it was noted that reducing the pressure in the volume control tank caused an increase in No. 1 seal leakoff.
As this indicated that the No. 2 seal was still functioning--albeit at an increased seal flow-operation was continued and a special procedure developed to monitor the flow through the No. 1 seal. Seal performance seems to be improving slightly. The unit is operating at 100% power.
