Dear Sir:
Pursuant to 10 CFR 50.90 Boston Edison Company hereby requests amendments to its Facility Operating License No. DPR-35.
Proposed Change Reference is made to 'ilgrim Station Operating License No. DPR-35, paragraph 3, section F.
The desired change would consist of replacing the existing paragraph:
3.F Fire Protect ton The licensee may pre e d with and is required to complete the modifications identified in Paragraphs 3.1.1 through 3.1.19 of the NRC's Fire Protection Safety Evaluation (SE), dated December 21, 1978 for the facility. These modifications will be completed in accordance with the schedule in Table 3.1.
i addition, the licensee shall submit the additional information identified in Table 3.2 of this SE in accordance with the schedule contained therein.
In the event these dates for submittal cannot be met, the licensee shall submit a report, explaining the circumstances, together with a revised schedule.
The licensee is required to implement the administrative controls identified in Section 6 of the SE.
The administrative controls shall be in effect by December 31, 1978.

These modifications will be completed in accordance with the schedule in Table 3.1 of the SE or supplements thereto.
In addition, the licensee shall submit the additional Jnformation identified in Table 3.2 of this SE in accordance with the schedule contained therein.

Reason for change Thic license modification is needed to permit changes to implementation dates in Table 3.1 to be made without having to nodify the license.
These changes in implementation dates may be required due to increase in scope or difficulty of the modifications, increase in materials procurement lead times, unavailability of skilled labor, labor disputes and/or other unforseen procurement and instal-lation difficulty. The public interest and health and scfety is adequately protected by this change since a Safety Evaluation supplement is required for each change.
Safety Considerations The proposed change does not present any hazard considerations not described or implied in the license application as amended. These changes have been reviewed by the Nuclear Safety Review and Audit Committec and reviewed and approved by the Operations Review Committee.
Schedule of Change This change will be pat into effect upon receipt of approval by the Commission.
