DUKE POWER COMPANY Docket No. 70-2623 (Transportation of Oconee Spent Fuel to McGuire Nuclear Station) :
NATURAL RESOURCES DEFENSE COUNCIL MOTION FOR EXTENSION OF TIME TO FILE OBJECTION TO SUPPLEMENTAL ORDER RULING ON PETITIONS FOR LEAVE TO INTERVENE Pursuant to 10 C.F.R.
S 2.751a(d), as modified by S 2.710, objections to the Board's Supplemental Order of January 9, 1979, are due January 19, 1979.
For several reasons, intervenor NRDC will not be able to comply with that deadline.
As counsel for NRDC, I am under obligation to file a lengthy brief in another proceeding (Offshore Power Systems, Dkt. No. STN 50-437) on January 22.
I am also required to be out of town for two days this week attending NRDC staff and board meetings.
- Finally, even though the Board's supplemental order is dated January 9, we did not receive it until Jan. 15.
These circumstances combine to make it impossible for NRDC to file the objection authorized by the NRC regulations within the stated deadline.
Therefore, NRDC requests an extension of 10 days, until Monday, January 29, 1979, within which to file an objection to the Supplemental Order of January 9, 1979.
Respectfully submitted, q90206 COST L % 2. W w ly Anthony (J. Roisman
