IE BULLETIN 79-C B, ENVIRONMENTAL QUALIFICATION OF CLASS IE EQUIPMENT:
CONSUMERS P0kIR COMPANY RESPONSE NRC letter dated January 16, 1980, forwarded the subject bulletin for action by Consumers Power Company. The letter stated that action was required with respect to Big Rock Point and Palisades.
Review of the detailed text of the subject bulletin indicates that the 11 plants included in the Systematic Evaluation Program (SEP) are excluded from the requirement to take the actions specified by the bulletin.
Beth Big Rock Point and Palisades are included in the SEP.
Consumers Power Company will continue to work with NRC-SEP branch personnel regarding the subject addressed in Bulletin 79-01B.
Accordingly, no detailed response to the subject bulletin will be issued for Big Rock Point or Palisades Plants.
