PROPOSED IMPOSITION OF CIVIL PENALTIES - $27,500 This is to inform the Commission that a Notice of Violation and Notice of Proposed Imposition of Civil Penalties in the amount of Twenty-Seven Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($27,500) will be issued to Connecticut Yankee Atomic Poser Company on or about December 6, 1979.
This action is based on eight alleged infractions and one alleged deficiency which were found during the 1979 refueling outage relating to a breakdown in management and procedural controls in the area of radiological health and safety.
A news release will be issued about the time the licensee receives the Notices.
The State of Connecticut will be informed.
It should be noted that the licensee has not been specifically informed of the enforcement action.
