NRC IE BULLETIN 79-19 In August 1979, we received NRC IE Bulletin 79-19, Packaging of Low-Level Radioactive Waste for Transport and Burial, requiring us as a licensee of the NRC to take certain actions to assure the safe transfer, packaging and transport of low-level radioactive waste.
In order to assure a complete understanding of IE Bulletin 79-19 and.11 other regulatory requirements related to this type of material, we are requesting you to provide us with the NRC definition of " low-level radioactive material."
I would appreciate your providing the requested definition, a reference as to where the definition may be found, or another individual or organization with whom we may communicate to obtain the requested definition.
