99900053/79-02 NOTICE OF DEVIATION Based on the results of an NRC inspection cor. ducted on October 30 to November 1,1979, it appears that certain of your activities were n't conducted in accordance with NRC requirements as indicated below:
Criterion XVIII of Appendix B to 10 CFR 50 requires fcilow-up action and/or reaudit of deficient areas where indicated.
In addition, para-graph 4.5 of your standard MGCS-1, revision P, states in part that "When the need for follow-up is indicated on the report, the Division Manager shall indicate his findings and plans in writing to the Quality Assurance Manager within thirty (30) days from the date of the audit report Contrary to the above requirements, the audit of manufacturing conducted on April 16, 1979, indicated the need for follow-up.
The Division Manager did not respond until June 29, 1979.
