NRC STAFF FURTHER PRELIMINARY RESPONSES TO UCS INTERROGATORIES The NRC Staff filed its Preliminary Response to UCS Interrogatories on Jan-uary 10,1980. Answers to Interrogatories 168 through 189 were not provided at that time but are now set forth in this response.
In addition, certain modifications to the original PNiiminary Response are included.
In its Prelimina.y Responses to the UCS Interrogatories, the NRC Staff has indicated whether information will be provided in the Safety Evaluation of the licensee's compliance with the August 9,1979 Order (SE) or in supplemental testimony. The Staff wishes to make it clear that answers that cannot be found in the SE and that are not objected to will be made available as they are developed by the Staff as well as in supplemental testimony.

Further, the limited information provided does not enable the S^;ff to ascertain whether the report is relevant to the issue of emergency planning or if so whether it has a material bearing on the issue. Only after the Staff has made a determination of the relevancy and materiality of the report can it decide whether it will analyze the-complete report.
